A two-vehicle head-on crash in Santa Rosa County last Saturday claimed the lives of both drivers and one passenger, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
A 2003 Ford F150 was traveling north on Chumuckla Highway when it drifted into the path of a Jeep Wrangler traveling south, crossing the center line into the southbound lane, causing a head-on collision.
After contact between the two vehicles, a fire began in the engine compartment of both, resulting in the two vehicles being engulfed in flames.
Both drivers and passenger were pronounced dead on the scene due to injuries they received.
The identities of both drivers and passenger are being withheld due to notification of kin.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the report. As of press time Wednesday, the identity of the victims had not been released.
