William A. “Bill” McCann, Sr., 87, died Monday, April 22, 2019 in Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. McCann was a native and lifelong resident of north Escambia County, Fla. who retired from St. Regis Paper Company with 21 years of service. A member of Byrneville United Methodist Church, he had also worked in the insurance industry with more than 10 years of service.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m.,Wednesday, April 24, at Byrneville United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Hawkins and Rev. Jessie Wood officiating. Burial followed at Byrneville Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Funeral Chapel directing.
Mr. McCann is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ethel McCann of Byrneville; one son, William A. “Billy” (Debbie) McCann, Jr., of Byrneville; one daughter, Kathy (Marcus) Caraway; one sister, Louise Nicholson of Pensacola; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. McCann was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie A. and Ada McCann; two brothers, Roger McCann and Bobby McCann; one sister, Doris Cassidy; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
