Already flailing about wildly for months, Democrats are frantically grasping at anything and everything to find a winning message for 2020. The only Democrat common denominator is abject rabid hatred for President Trump. They desperately want to believe destroying Trump is all they need to win the White House, but enough of them have an eerie notion that the media echo chamber cheering them on may not actually be based in reality. Despite relentless smears, ceaseless false accusations, and even attempts to remove him, Trump remains popular and continues to make America great again.
Trump’s resilience and success drives Democrats insane. Reduced to frothing with every tweet, Democrats have been baited by Trump numerous times into admitting truth. With constant pressure on Planned Parenthood, Democrats admitted they demand infanticide by supporting POST term abortions. By limiting the federal deductions for state taxes, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo passionately admitted taxing the rich has its limits. Perhaps most priceless, Trump’s plan to deliver overflow illegal aliens to sanctuary cities got Democrats to rise up in anger to reject illegal immigrants.
With the Mueller Special Counsel Report becoming a bust, savvy Democrats are realizing impeachment may be impossible and probably pointless with a Republican Senate. And time is running out because another presidential election is upon us, so Democrats are even more panicked when they realize they will have to beat Trump the old fashioned way – with ideas and a “good” candidate!
Both ideas and good candidates are in short supply for Democrats. Every Democrat presidential candidate’s announcement is greeted with great fanfare in the media and incredible speculation how each one could take down the Donald. Senator Cory “Spartacus” Booker would be the next Obama until he started speaking. Hillary is out for now, but Democrats were excited about a woman candidate of color until Senator Elizabeth Warren’s high cheek bones registered only 1/1,024 Native American. And Senator Kamala Harris just can’t get any traction. The Kennedy looking Beto O’Rourke flashed in the pan when his dirt was discovered in his mouth. And Mayor Pete Buttigeig smooching on his husband set Hollywood aflame but left the heartlands cold.
Mired in identity politics, Democrats are frustrated as each gimmick candidate seems to fizzle out, so who can save the Democrat Party in 2020? A really old white man of course; at least that is the latest liberal savior. After weathering weeks of scrutiny for his creepy sniffing and touching, 76 year old former VP Joe Biden finally announced his third run for president.
Biden announced his candidacy in a video proclaiming common American values were under assault and Donald Trump presented the “greatest threat to America in his life time.” Really Joe? Trump is a greater threat than worldwide communism in the Cold War? Than radical Islam slaughtering almost 3,000 Americans on American soil in 9/11?
Democrats and their henchmen in the media love such hyperbole, but how does that partisan propaganda stand up to the prosperous reality Trump has created? With a roaring economy growing over 3% annually, Americans are working and taking advantage of the tax cuts to better their lives. Trump is the first president actually tackling border security and illegal immigration. He is also working diligently to wind down our wars and face down our enemies. It’s slow and messy, but there are no new wars on the horizon. Average Americans genuinely feel President Trump is looking out for them and has indeed helped them, so what exactly is Biden talking about?
Biden’s party offers tax increases and more healthcare chaos with MEDICARE for all. More abortions, more legalized drugs, and OPEN borders! Led by smarmy Representative Eric Swalwell, Democrats want to eviscerate the 2nd Amendment with aggressive gun control. How does any of this help American families?
Biden may be right that 2020 will be a battle for the soul of our nation, but it’s doubtful he will be the Democrat champion. Biden hails from the old guard, but the Democrat base has veered dramatically left. The buffet of buffoons in the Democrat field will beat him mercilessly as too moderate. Unless Hillary or Michelle Obama make a last minute entry, the mantle of the Democrat Party will be left to the only true socialist, Bernie Sanders, because after all the Democrat Party has become the Socialist Party.
But Bernie’s best chance was in 2016 following the anemic Obama economy. Socialism has appeal when there is no hope and the people think only the government can change their situation, but when they taste liberty and enjoy prosperity, socialism is a hard sell.
