Jay felon arrested

A convicted felon from Jay is facing more drug charges and a felony possession weapon charge after law enforcement executed a search warrant on May 14 and located drugs and a loaded weapon inside the residence.

Anthony Glenn Brunson, 59, 2351 Camors Road, was alone in his residence when law enforcement arrived to serve a search warrant and discovered a loaded .22 caliber handgun, methamphetamine, marijuana and a digital scale, according to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office report.

The report said Brunson had been convicted in 2006 for felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of synthetic cannabinoids in Escambia County, Fla.

Brunson was arrested and transported to the Santa Rosa County jail and given a bond of $7,000.
