Samuel Edgar 'Red' Killam

Samuel Edgar “Red” Killam, 92, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Century, Fla.

Mr. Killam was a native and lifelong resident of Byrneville, Fla. who was self-employed as a farmer. A veteran of World War II, he was of the Assembly of God faith. He worked with Smith Construction and was employed with Jack Smith as a carpenter.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 23, at the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with Bro. Tim Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Chapel Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Killam is survived by one brother, John Elton (Betty) Killam of Byrneville; two sisters, Evelyn Killam of Byrneville and Earlene Hayles of Lottie, Ala.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Mr. Killam was preceded in death by his wife, Sibyl Killam; his parents, Sam and Dora Lee Killam; and a nephew, Bubba Hayles.
