Aubrey Odom, Sr., 64, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
Mr. Odom was born Sept. 22, 1955, to Richard and Hester L. Odom in Pineapple, Ala. Mr. Odom completed high school and received his diploma and became employed with Odom's Logging in the 1970s and 80s, Stone Container in 1990 through 1995 and C & C Hauling in 1996 until recently. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church, where he served on the trustee board for a number of years.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 11, at Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Hawkins officiating. Burial followed at Century Cemetery with Jackson-McMurray Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Odom is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rosie M. Odom of Century; five children, Aubrey Odom, Jr. of Suffolk, Va., Aubrey Odom, III and Audriene Odom, both of Century, and Terrance Grice and Lakesha Smile, both of Pensacola; three brothers, Richard (Gudrun) Odom, Jr., and Johnny P. Odom, both of Flomaton and Steven (Elouise) Odom, Sr. of Tallahassee; two sisters, Ernestine O. (Harold E.) Carter of Greenville, Ala. And Rebecca G. Odom of Snellville, Ga.; three grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces cousins and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael A. Odom and Tommy Odom; and other relatives.
