A Jay man was arrested June 19 and is facing felony charges of sexual battery on victims 12 years of age or less between May 30, 2019 and June 1, 2019, following interviews of the alleged victims by law enforcement.

Deputies responded to a report of child molestation on June 1, 2019, and the mother of the alleged victims told authorities she had noticed over the last several weeks her three children displaying sexual acts towards each other, the report stated.

One female child told law enforcement that Gleaion Wood touched her in spots she should not be touched, according to the report. The report said the child told authorities she went to get a toy and that Wood pushed her on the bed and he penetrated her digitally. The victim said it had happened multiple times.

A male child told authorities Gleaion Wood grabbed him and penetrated his rectum digitally, the report said.

The children's caretaker acknowledged knowing that Wood is a registered sex offender but she was told it was a lie and that even though he tried to rape her after her mother passed away, she did not think he would mess with the kids, according to the report.

The victims stated that Wood threatened he would kill their parents and whole family if they told, the report said.

Wood was arrested June 19 and transported to Santa Rosa County Jail, with no bond.
