Donald Wayne Gibson, 64, died Sunday, June 16, 2019.
Mr. Gibson was a native of Atmore who resided most of his life in the Atmore and Walnut Hill area. A retired carpenter, he was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Poarch Baptist Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Gibson is survived by two sons, Donnie (Tiffany) Gibson of Waynesboro, Ga. and Greg (Sylvia) Gibson of Atmore; one daughter, Joy Bernice Gibson of Huxford, Ala.; four brothers, Jerry (Connie) Gibson of Middletown, Ind., Ricky Gibson of Atmore and Tony Gibson and Larry Gibson, both of Poarch; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, AtriceBea Gibson; his parents, Elbert and Ida Gibson; two brothers, Hubbard Gibson and Otis Gibson; and two sisters, Janette Taylor and Bernice DeFoe.
