At 6:54 p.m., on Thurday, June 27, Flomaton Fire Department responded to a 911 call that a subject was trapped under a tree on Pecan Leaf Lane in Flomaton.
When Station 32 arrived on scene, emergency responders found a man who had been mowing grass that was trapped under a tree.
Fire Chief Steve Stanton aid there were high winds, which probably caused the tree to fall.
“The tree fell on him, the lawn mower and the trailer he had,” said Stanton. “We had to use the Jaws of Life to get the tree off of him.”
Stanton said the man refused emergency medical services.
Century Fire Department, Flomaton Police and Fire Departments and Medstar Ambulance were on scene to assist.
