Century could get $33K

The town of Century will receive a fee as much as $33,000 from the Capital Trust Agency (CTA) for bond issuance on three projects in Florida through an interlocal agreement between the city of Gulf Breeze and the town of Century, following Monday night's council approval.

A representative with CTA presented the Viera Charter Schools project in Broward Countys, the Cedar Grove in Miami-Dade County and NorthStar Academies, in various counties for bond issuance to the Century mayor and council.

Each project has a public purpose, with plans to acquire adjacent land or facilities for expansion, rehabilitation or improvement. Viera Charter and NorthStar Academies are schools and Cedar Grove is a multi-family housing unit.

The maximum bond issuance of each project would result in the fees of: $15,000,000 for Viera Charter Schools is a fee of $6,000, $30,000,000 for Cedar Grove is a fee of $12,000 and $60,000,000 for NorthStar Academies is a fee of $23,585.

The town of Century has received around $41,000 from CTA this year.

The council approved the mayor to sign the resolutions and the motion carried.
