The Brewton Police Department has identified Jamie Lynn Brownlee, 38, a resident of the Rome Road community in Andalusia, as the woman whose body was found inside a vehicle parked outside the Brewton Walmart on July 10.
Brewton police were dispatched to Walmart about 6:10 p.m. on July 10, where they found the body of a female in the back seat of the parked car. Witnesses said the vehicle had been parked in that spot for three days before the body was discovered.
Police reported it appears no foul play was involved, but her body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Mobile to determine the exact cause of death and the identification of the body.
Police said the investigation continues and noted the official cause of death has not been released.
