Roy L. Steadham, 72, died Monday, July 29, 2019 in Century, Fla.
Mr. Steadham was a native of Century and former resident of Ottawa, Kansas for 22 years who had resided in Century for the past seven years. A graduate of Century High School, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and attended Sardis Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 2, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Weekly officiating. Burial followed at Rigby Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Steadham is survived by one son, James D. (Melanie) Steadham of Atmore; one daughter, Lesley Steadham of Jay, Fla.; his mother, Dorothy Steadham of McDavid, Fla.; two brothers, Dalton Steadham of McDavid and Nathan Hardy of Atmore; two sisters, Sandra (Mac, Jr.) Morris of McDavid and Mary (Ray) Cranford of Savannah, Ga.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Steadham was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ella Louise Steadham; one brother, Eugene Howell; and two sisters, Al Godwin and Arlene Howell.
