Gary Lee Holt, 63, of Pace, Fla., died Sunday, August 4, 2019.
Mr. Holt was born Sept. 17, 1955, to Marvin and Idell Minchew Holt in Brewton. A 1973 graduate of Flomaton High School and 2007 graduate of the University of West Florida with a business degree, he lived in Pace, where he was involved with the Santa Rosa County Creek Indian Tribe, coming from Atmore. Retired from International Paper Company in 2007 after 21 years of service, he worked for five years with the State of Alabama. Of the Baptist faith, he coached baseball and was an avid outdoorsman.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ricky Hart officiating and Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Holt is survived by his wife, Anne W. Holt of Pace; one son, Christopher Lee Holt of Pensacola; one daughter, Natalie Holt of Pace; one brother, Robert E. (Linda) Holt of Flomaton; and numerous cousins.
Mr. Holt was preceded in death by his parents.
