James “Jimmy” Clinton Steele, 72, of Brewton, died Monday, August 5, 2019 in an Atmore nursing facility after a brief illness.
Mr. Steele was a native and longtime resident of Brewton who was a 1965 graduate of T.R. Miller High School. A member of the Macedonia Church, he was a U.S. National Guard veteran and retired security guard.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Butts officiating. Burial followed at Fuqua-Haveard Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Steele is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kay Steele of Brewton; one brother, Robert “Bones” (Marty) Steele of Brewton; two sisters, Linda Miller and Carolyn Doster, both of Brewton; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Mr. Steele was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Dezzie Steele; and other extended family members.
