Roland Howard Gibson

Roland Howard Gibson, 72, died Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at an Atmore nursing facility.

Mr. Gibson was a lifelong resident of the Brewton and East Brewton areas who was a member of the W.S. Neal High School Class of 1965. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was the owner of Homes R Us. He helped coach multiple sports for various ages for a number of years and was of the Pentecostal faith.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 10, at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Quick officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Craver's Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Gibson is survived by by his wife of more than 46 years, Brenda K. Gibson of East Brewton; two sons, Pete (Donna) Gibson of Deatsville, Ala. And Heath Gibson of East Brewton; one daughter, Robyn (David) Herndon of East Brewton; three sisters, Linda (Bobby) Edgar of Castleberry, Kathy (Elton) Madden and Becky (Lamar) Adkisson, both of Brewton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Howard, Sr. and Katherine “Kitty” Gibson; and one brother, Oland Gibson.
