Davison accused of dragging underaged girl into the woods, assaulted and robbed her
A Century man is facing felony kidnapping and sexual battery charges after he allegedly pulled a female under the age of 18, walking along Highway 29, into nearby woods to assault and rob her.
Na'keetric Devonte Davison, 27, listed as homeless, was arrested Aug. 21 and charged with sexual battery on a victim under the age of 18, kidnapping a child and commit sexual battery, felony battery, robbery and resisting without violence after law enforcement responded to a 911 call of a possible abduction on Highway 29, according to an Escambia County Sheriff's Office report.
The officer observed a female, who was between ages of 12 and 18, crying and distraught, exiting the woodline along the sidewalk and highway. Her blue jeans were unzipped and her clothing and hair was in disarray, the report said.
The victim was hysterical and told the officer that she had been walking south on the sidewalk, headed to the Century library, when a male approached her from behind and asked her for change, the report stated. She stated the male grabbed her and pulled her into the wooded area next to the sidewalk, grabbing her by the throat and slamming her on the ground. Davison told the victim not to scream or he would kill her, according to the report.
The victim said the male was wearing a black tank top and color baggy pants, with gold teeth in the front of his mouth and terrible body odor, the report indicated.
She stated Davison pulled her pants down and started to penetrate her with his penis, where she resisted and insisted for Davison to put on a condom because she did not want to die. She stated that Davison did put on a condom and while hodling her on the ground, the sexually assaulted her, the report said.
The victim stated Davison then threatened her again he would kill her if she screamed out, took her wallet from her purse, then fled on foot into the woods in an unknown direction.
The officer made contact with the 911 caller, Charles Ash, who stated her had been driving by when he observed a black male, later identified as Davison, pull the female into the woods. Ash told law enforcement he verbally yelled at Davison to stop and that he was calling 911, the report said.
Based on the information given, law enforcement set up a perimeter along with several other officers and Century Correctional Institute K9 unit was notified and arrived on sene to assist with a K9 track. The report said after a lengthy K9 track, Davison was apprehended.
EMS was notified and the victim was transported to Baptist Hospital for medical treatment, the report stated.
Davison was arrested and transported to the Escambia County Jail, where he was given a bond of $150,000 for sexual battery on a victim under 18 years of age, a bond of $150,000 for kidnapping a child and commit sexual battery, a bond of $5,000 for felony battery, a bond for $15,000 for robbery and a bond of $1,000 for resisting without violence, for a total bond of $321,000.
