Barbara Lindsey Stokes, 84, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in Jay, Fla.
Mrs. Stokes was a native of Bay Minette and former resident of Pensacola who had resided in Century for the past 36 years. Retired from Monsanto Corporation as an operations leader with 38 years of service, she was of the Methodist faith.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 31, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Bay Minette Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Stokes is survived by one son, Otto (Karen) Stokes, III, of Pensacola; two daughters, Barbara Ann Flowers of Pensacola and Ruby Patricia Tolbert of Brewton; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stokes was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Stokes, Jr.; her parents, Lee and Ruby Lindsey; two sons, Robert Earl Gafford and J.W. (Dubbs) Gafford.
