Jeffery Termaine Finklea, 40, of Tunnel Springs, Ala., died Tuesday, August 27, 2019, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Finklea was a native of Monroe County, Ala. and 1999 graduate f J.F. Shields High School. A member of the Antioch Baptist Church #1 in Tunnel Springs, he worked as a commercial truck driver.
A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday Sept. 4, at Antioch Baptist Church #1 with Rev. Whalen Oliver officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mr. Finklea is survived by the mother of his children, Lasharon Watts-Finklea of Beatrice, Ala.; two daughters, Amber (Malik) Hasan of Fort Riley, Kan. and Jakala Finklea of Beatrice; his parents, Willie (Lois) Stanton of Peterman, Ala. and Cherry (Clyde, Sr.) Lee of Tunnel Springs; three brothers, Douglas (Amy) Finklea of Frisco City, Ala., Rodney Stanton of Whites Creek, Tenn. and Clyde Simon of Pensacola; four sisters, Crystal Stanton of Atlanta, Ga., April (Clennon) Preyear of Houston and Lashondra Lee and Latonya Lee, both of Monroeville; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Mr. Finklea was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Lee, Jr.; and several grandparents.
