Russell 'Russ' David Bonds

Russell “Russ” David Bonds, 51, of Range, Ala., died Friday, August 31, 2019 in an Evergeen, Ala. medical facility after a brief illness.

Mr. Bonds was a native of Decatur, Ala. and lifelong resident of Range who was a member of the House of Prayer. He attended the Repton School System and Ed Reid Technical College, where he earned welding and carpentry degrees, and worked as a truck driver in the transportation industry.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Janes officiating. Burial followed at Ramah Cemetery in Lenox, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Bonds is survived by his mother, Virginia Janes Bonds of Range; one niece, Amanda (Daniel) Hawkins; one great-nephew, Daniel David Hawkins; and one great-niece, Kathryn Hawkins.

Mr. Bonds was preceded in death by his father, Larry David Bonds; and one sister, Felicia Bonds.
