UraBea McCurdy Golden, 91, of Brewton, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 at Jay Hospital.
Mrs. Golden was born March 27, 1928, and was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County, Fla. before she moved to Brewton in 2002. A 1946 Jay High School graduate, she was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and later attended the First United Methodist Church in Brewton.
A Celebration of Life was held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, at First United Methodist Church in Brewton with Rev. Bobby Ellisor and Rev. Scott Veraneau officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Golden is survived by one son, Roger Wayne (Jeanne) Golden of Pace; one daughter, Susan Golden Parker of Brewton; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Golden was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Edward and Lula McCurdy; five brothers, Johnie William McCurdy, Edward Wayne McCurdy, Robert Lee McCurdy, Horace Wilson McCurdy and Veston Lavon (Tim) McCurdy; and other extended family members.
