James Dewayne Hunter, 34, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019.
Mr. Hunter was born Oct. 9, 1984, to James and Carolyn Hunter in Monroeville, Ala. Attending school in the Conecuh County system up to 12th grade, he received his GED and was employed as a security guard at the I-65 rest area for several years. He was a member of Belleville Missionary Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, at Belleville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Thames officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hunter is survived by his parents; one brother, William Darnell (Melanie) McCreary of Enterprise, Ala.; one sister, JaQuese Stallworth of Clearwater, Fla.; one uncle, Albert Boney of Belleville, Ala.; five aunts, Brenda Stallworth of Birmingham, Velma (Terry) Randelson of Greenstreet, Ala., Phyllis (Jesse) Redmon of Brewton, Deborah Williams of Bloomington, Ill. and Patricia Montgomery of Castleberry, Ala.; and numerous great-uncles, great-aunts, grandparents and other family members.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by five grandparents, Ivey and Mildred Montgomery, L.T. and Willie D. Dailey and Viteria Hunter.
