Homecoming festivities for Flomaton High School continue today (Thursday) leading up to Friday's parade, pre-game festivities, the football game between Flomaton and Escambia County High School and ending with a dance in the new gym.
Judging for the Thursday tailgating in the high school parking lot will begin at 6 p.m. and the pep rally will be held at 6:30 p.m. Activities for the tailgating involve a class competition that will raise money for the school's Go Gold for the month of September for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in memory of Kelsie Padgett.
An alumni tea will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday in the high school library, followed by the parade downtown beginning at 2 p.m.
Pre-game festivities and the crowning of the 2019 Homecoming Queen will begin at 6 p.m. and kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The dance will begin shortly after the end of the football game.
