Larry Winston Shiver, 78, of Robinsonville, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019.
Mr. Shiver was born Jan. 5, 1941, to John Jefferson, Sr. and Orba Lee Rhodes Shiver. A 1959 graduate of Escambia County High School, he attended Auburn University and served in the U.S. Air Force. A 32nd Degree Mason, he was a member of the Carney Masonic Lodge in Atmore.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 4, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chpael with Bro. Ricky Tedder officiating. Burial followed at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Honors and Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Shiver is survived by his wife of 54 years, Willie Mae Philyaw Shiver of Robinsonville; one daughter, Lee (Chuck) Walker of Robinsonville; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Shiver was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings, John J. Shiver, Jr., Louie M. Shiver, Charles E. Shiver, Hellon Hudson, Dorothy “Dot” Whalin and Charlene Quick.
