Bobby Lewis, 73, of Brewton, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, after a brief illness.
Mr. Lewis was a native of Elba, Ala., former resident of Loxley, Ala. and long-time res- ident of Brewton. A member of New Hopewell Baptist Church, he was a graduate of Robertsdale High School. He retired as an equipment oper- ator from Smurfitt Sone with 32 years of service and was a U.S. National Guard veteran who enjoyed fishing.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. James Aubrey officiating. Burial followed at New Hopewell Cemetery in Castleberry, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue Pettis Lewis of Brewton; two sons, Mark (Martha) Lewis of McKenzie, Ala. and John (Tracy) Lewis of Brewton; two brothers, Carl (Violet) Lewis of Robertsdale, Ala. and Farrell (Paula) Lewis of Opelika, Ala.; five grandchil- dren; and two great-grand- children.
