After a slow start, Jay and Bozeman put on an offensive show Friday night with Bozeman scoring three fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull away with a 49-35 win over the visiting Royals.
Jay will wrap up its regular season this Friday night when the Royals host Northview.
Bozeman scored on an 84-yard run in the first quarter to take the early lead and then scored early in the second quarter to take a 14-0 lead.
Jay's Judd Smith hit Tucker Mandell on a 6-yard touchdown pass and Toby Mandell added the PAT to pull the Royals within a touchdown at 14-7.
Bozeman then scored on a 39-yard run and added the PAT for a 21-7 lead.
Jay rounded out the scoring in the second quarter when Smith scored on a 1-yard run. Toby Mandell's PAT made the score 21-14 Bozeman at the half.
Bozeman scored on a 62-yard pass to open the third quarter and following the PAT led 28-14.
Smith then scored on a 1-yard run and Toby Mandell added the PAT sending the game into the fourth quarter with Bozeman leading 28-21.
Bozeman stretched its lead to35-21 on a 29-yard touchdown pass and Jay's Ryan Eister scored on a 60-yard tun. Toby Mandell's PAT made the score 35-28 Bozeman.
Bozeman would then add touchdowns on two running plays to increase the lead to 49-28.
Jay wrapped up the scoring when Smith hit Ryan Eister on a 4-yard touchdown pass. Toby Mandell's PAT made the final score 49-35.
On the night Jay rushed 31 times for 213 yard and Smith connected on 13 of 22 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns giving Jay 340 yards of total offense.
Ryan Eister led the rushing attack with 79 yards on four carries and a touchdown. Connor Roberts had 66 yards on 12 carries and Smith rushed eight times for 49 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Brent Eister had seven catches for 71 yards, Ryan Eister had three catches for 45 yards, Tucker Mandell added two catches for 7 yards and Kaden Roberson had one catch for 4 yards.
Bozeman picked up 178 yards on the ground on 37 carries and hit for 13 of 17 passes for 357 yards for a total offensive effort of 535 yards.
