Franklin Jacob “Pop” Parsons, 85, of Wing, Ala. died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, in a Century, Fla. nursing facility after a brief illness.
Mr. Parsons was a native of Sullivan, Ind. Who was a former resident of Pensacola and long time resident of Wing. A member of the Union Hill Church of Christ, he was a retired quality control inspector with Armstrong World Industries.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, at the Union Hill Church of Christ with Preacher Jared Knoll and Preacher Pat Brinn officiating. Burial followed at Bradley Church Cemetery in the Bradley community of Wing, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Parsons is survived by his wife of 63 years, Hilda Palmer Parsons of Bradley; two sons, Kenny Parsons of Bradley and David Parsons of Pensacola; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by one son, Billy Parsons.
