Flomaton firemen charged with killing deer in town limits
Four Flomaton volunteer firemen were ticketed for night hunting for allegedly shooting and killing a doe deer on the side of Highway 31 in Flomaton between and fire station and the We Care store.
According to court records, Jay Croley, 29, 102 Ricky St., Flomaton, Michael Dylan Emmons,19, 184 Sue St., Flomaton, and Nicholas Jay Jackson,18, 82 Emmy Lane, Flomaton were issued night hunting citations by Game Warden Adam Johnson.
Charles Tyler Lambeth, 20, 6159 Upper Creek Road, Flomaton was citied for night hunting and discharcging a firearm from a public road.
Court records state Lambeth was in the back seat of a vehicle and used a .12-gauge shotgun to kill the deer on the side of Highway 31 on or about Oct. 18, 2019.
The four allegedly took the deer to a location behind the fire station to clean the animal.
The four were issued citations for the incident on Nov. 20, 2019.
Since the citations were issued, Emmons and Jackson have been granted youthful offender status, which means their records will be sealed.
