Flomaton warrant nets drugs; two arrested

Agents find meth, cocaine, marijuana and Ecstasy inside residence

Agents from multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant last Tuesday at 282 Jordan Landing Road, Flomaton, that led to the arrest of two individuals on multiple drug charges that included methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana and Ecstasy.

Dennis C. Crosby, Jr., 43, was charged with trafficking, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is being held on $1.5 million bond.

Derrick Jones, 42, 309 Montgomery St., Atmore, was charged with drug trafficking and jailed on $1 million bond.

According to reports, agents with the Alabama Drug Enforcement task force from Monroe and Escambia counties, the U.S. Marshall's Office, the Escambia County (Ala.) Sheriff's Office, an Escambia County (Fla.) narcotics officer and the Flomaton Police Department executed the search warrant at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 19 at the Flomaton residence.

Reports state officers seized about 13 ounces of meth, about 3 grams of crack cocaine, about 64 grams of marijuana and about 7 grams of Ecstasy which had a total street value of $22,000. Agents also seized a loaded .38-caliber pistol, $1,160 in cash and multiple drug paraphernalia items including two digital scales, an electric grinder, propane and a harvest compound.
