Katie Lois Carlee, 92, of Atmore, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019.
Mrs. Carlee was born Sept. 3, 1927, to Robert Freeman and Frances Annie Webb Cross in Frisco City, Ala. She worked as a nurse at the original Foley Hospital and later retired from Monsanto as a draw twist operator.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Adam Carlee and Bro. Waylon Stuckey officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Carlee is survived by four sons, Joseph Delray (Marsha) Carlee of Pooler, Ga., Robert David (Beverly) Carlee of Anniston, Ala., and William Earl Carlee and Glenn Edward (Denise) Carlee, both of Atmore; one brother, Johnny Lee “Kit” Cross of Georgia; two sisters, Lettie Chancery Flomaton and Willie Jeanette Toler of Foley; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Carlee was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Carlee; her parents; four siblings, Freeman Preston Cross, Annie Ruth Stabler, Robert Earl Cross and Pearly Elizabeth Ray; and one grandchild, Brandon Edward Carlee.
