William “Eddie” Edward Cook, 82, of Davisville, Fla., died Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, in Pensacola.
Mr. Cook was born March 26, 1937, to Roy W. and Edith Marie Carnley Cook in Chumuckla, Fla. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a senior mechanic with Exxon Mobil and had worked for the City of Atmore with the Beautification Department. A member of the Walnut Hill and Century Masonic Lodge, he was a 32nd degree mason and Past Grand Patron of the Order of The Eastern Star of Florida, an elected position.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Burial followed at McCullough Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Laura Green Cook of Davisville; two sons, Chadwick W. (Tonya Black) Cook of Nokomis, Ala. and Brady E. (Kay) Cook of Daphne, Ala.; one brother, Winston Cook of Pace, Fla.; two sisters, Voncile Grant of Pace and Marie (Otis) Joiner of Milton; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Leon Cook and Clarence Ray Cook.
