Rita Lavelle Hinote, 77, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, in Brewton.
Mrs. Hinote was born Sept. 2, 1942, in New Orleans, La., and had been a lifelong resident of Brewton. A member of the Flomaton High School Class of 1960, she had worked as an LPN at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement in 2012.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 23, at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Seventy Tommy Jernigan and Seventy Sharon Jernigan officiating. Burial followed with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hinote is survived by two sons, Randy (Michelle) Hinote of Century and Greg (Kelley) Hinote of Flomaton; one daughter, Jackie (Sonny) Evans of Brewton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hinote was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsey Richard Chavers and Edna Mae Johnson Chavers; three brothers, Billy Chavers, W.C. Chavers and Frank Earl Chavers; and one sister, Marie Chavers.
