The Century Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its second Annual cross-coun- try Classic 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020.
The run will begin at 9 a.m. at Anthony Pleasant Park with a one-mile Fun Run scheduled for 10:15 a.m.
Early registration is $20 until Jan. 17 or $25 to sign up the day of the race and the first 50 who register will
receive a T-shirt with the names of race sponsors.
Registrations can be mailed by Jan. 11 to Century Chamber of Commerce, 7811 N. Century Boulevard, Century, Fla., 32535, with a check or money order made out to the Century Chamber of Commerce. Registration forms can be picked up at the chamber office.
Participants can pick up their packet from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at Anthony Pleasant Park.
Medals and ribbons for the
top 3 finishers in 34 different age groups will be awarded, as well as an overall award for the first male and female. Awards for the top three male and female walkers will be given also.
Last year’s race was suc- cessful in helping the cham- ber raise funds and this will be the second year for the event.
“Everyone had such a great time at last years race, we anticipate more fun this year,” said Dobson. “Invite your friends and family to
come and participate. It’s a run and walk, so don’t think you have to be some great ath- lete to enter. It’s a healthy event, fun for the family, and supports a great cause!”
