Shirley Marilyn Vickrey Fayard, 81, of Atmore, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020.
Mrs. Fayard was born Oct. 21, 1938, to Bernard E. “Bunk” and Daisy Myrtle Kent Vickrey in Huxford, Ala. A member of Presley Street Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, pianist and member of the choir, she was a retired banker from First National bank of Atmore with 48 years of service.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan., 27, at the Presley Street Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Simpson officiating. Burial followed at oak Hill Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral home directing.
Mrs. Fayard is survived by her husband, H. Curtis Fayard of Atmore; three sons, Greg (Kelly) Turberville of Enterprise, Ala., Mike (Terri) Fayard of Seminole and Bryan (Candace) Fayard of Flomaton; one brother, Weldon (Kay) Vickrey of Mineola, Ala.; two sisters, Nell Owens of Atmore and Ann (Larry) Davis of Atmore; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fayard was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Turberville; her parents; and two brothers, Lawrence Vickrey and Doug Vickrey.
