Deborah T. “Doobie” Moorer, 48, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2020.
Ms. Moorer was born Aug. 4, 1971, to David and Dorothy Lee Moorer in Pensacola and was educated in the Escambia County school system. A 1989 graduate of J.M. Tate High School, she was a member of AOH Church of Cantonment and employed as a corrections officer at Century Correctional Institute.
The funeral was held at 12 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, at Grace Fellowship with Rev. Lawrence Robinson officiating. Burial followed at Mothershed Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Moorer is survived by one son, Taquarius Bryant; one daughter, Tarqualisha Smith (Daryl Rodgers); her parents; seven siblings, Curtis Moorer, Michael Moorer, Sandra (Gregory) Samuels, Carlos Moorer, Kevin Moorer, Angelia Moorer and Valerie Moorer; six grandchildren; one grandparent, Sarah Moorer; and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles aunts, cousins and other family members and friends.
Ms. Moorer was preceded in death by four grandparents, Joseph Bonner and Eula Jenkins and Samuel and Armetta Moorer; and numerous uncles, aunts, and other family members and friends.
