Jewel Bondurant Dean

Jewel Bondurant Dean, 88, of Flomaton, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, in a Mobile, Ala. health care facility.

Mrs. Dean was born May 13, 1931, to John Dewey and Alto Shipp Bondurant in Repton, Ala. She was a lifelong member of the Flomaton community, where she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Tew officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Dean is survived by one son, Werth Kimball (Donnie) Dean, Jr. of Ashaway, R.I.: one daughter, Beverely (Gary) Howell of Mobile; one brother, Alfred (Ruth) Bondurant of Republic of Panama, Panama; three sisters, Juanita (Gordan) Howell and Dawn (Dennis) Printy, both of Pensacola, and Willean Sales of Monroeville, Ala.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Werth Kimball Dean; her parents; four brothers, Frank Bondurant, Calvin Bondurant, Dewey Bondurant and H.P. Bondurant; two sisters, Mary Ella White and Grace Chastain Butler.
