Alvenzer Calvin Lee, 75, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.
Mr. Lee was born Dec. 17, 1944, to Winston and Irma Lee in Flomaton and attended Carver High School in Century, Fla. Relocating to Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1962, he worked for various factories and earned his CDL license. Employed driving tractor trailers in Brooklyn for 20 years, he retired in 1995 and returned to Century in 1999.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, at Apostolic Faith Church with Rev. Henry E. Swanson officiating. Burial followed at Century Cemetery with Jackson-McMurray Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ofelia “Faye” Dario Lee; sone son, Kenny McCoy; three daughters, Toni (Leonard) White, Crystal Lee and Katherine Lee; one brother, Herum (Ronda) Edwards of Missouri, Texas; two sisters, Barbara Lee of Tampa, Fla. and Gwendolyn Newton of Century; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousin, other family members and friends.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
