Edward “Pete” Martin, 75, of Bay Minette, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, in a Mobile hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Martin was born May 2, 1944, to Henry “Buck” Smith and Dorothy York Martin in Mobile. A longtime resident before he relocated to Bay Minette, he was a retired painter with Hines Realty and was of the Church of God faith.
A graveside service was held at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7, at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Ron Headley officiating. Burial followed with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Jason (Julie) Martin of Jacksonville, Fla. and David (Tonia) Martin of Georgiana, Ala.; one daughter, Shannon (Stanley) Walker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Robert Martin of Castleberry, Ala. and Pat Martin of Alabama; one sister, Dorothy Parker of Tennessee; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Hobbs Martin; and his parents.
