Rudy Clay Cooper, 56, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 in Bay Minette, Ala.
Mr. Cooper was a native of Bay Minette and former resident of Loxley, Ala. who had resided in Bay Minette for the past 20 years. He was a member of the New Hope Community Church in Rabun, Ala.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Stapleton Church of God with Bro. J. P. Lambert and Bro. Doug Armentrout officiating. Burial followed at Whitehouse Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Debbie Cooper of Bay Minette; five children, Tori (Dan) Reed and Dallas Durant of Bay Minette, Leslie Boutwell and Shannon Boutwell, both of Uriah, Ala. and Patrick Heuer of Mobile; his mother, Jean Elizabeth Cooper of Bay Minette; five siblings, Howell Slay (Rhonda) Cooper and Stacy Lynn (Angel) Cooper, Cody Lee Cooper and Carlos Wade Cooper, all of Bay Minette, Tracy Jean (Johnny) Brown of Perdido, Ala.; 29 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his father, Howell Rudolph Cooper; his brother, Vincent Ray Cooper; and one grandparent, Bessie Lee Christian.
