Beverly Hammac Evans, 74, of Brewton, died Saturday, March 21, 2020.
Mrs. Evans was born Sept. 29, 1945, to Autrey and Beulah Hammac, in Brewton, where she remained a lifelong resident, working as a cosmetologist. Owner and operator of House of Beauty from 1968 until 2000, she was a member of Eastern Star, of Norris Lodge.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at Hanberry Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Pettis officiating. Burial will follow with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Evans is survived by one son, James Autrey Evans of Brewton; two daughters, JoAnn Evans of Brewton and Anita (Phil) Waguespack of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; her mother; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, James Luke “Steve” Evans; her father; one brother, Joseph Earl Hammac; one sister, Sandra Lee Harris; and numerous other family members.
