Calvin Coolidge Turberville, 96, died Friday, March 27, 2020, in Bay Minette, Ala.
Mrs. Turberville was a native of Mineola, Ala. and lifelong resident of Atmore. A former member of the Fraternal Order of Police and U.S. Army World War II veteran, he was retired from the Alabama Prison System as a canteen manager II. He was also a member of the Atmore Temple Baptist Church.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, at the Mineola Cemetery with Bro. Doug Odom officiating. Burial followed with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Turberville is survived by one son, Wayne (Rhonda) Turberville of Troy, Ala.; and one daughter, Paula (Steve) Magee of Pensacola; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Turberville was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Turberville; his twin, Cleo Gwaltney; one son, Roger Turberville; three brothers, Martin “Tab” Turberville, Floyd Turberville and Archie Turberville; three sisters, and one grandchild.
