James “Jamie” Henry Burnham, 74, of Stockton, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020, following a brief illness.
Mr. Burnham was born Sept. 19, 1945, in Escambia County, Ala., where he was a life-long resident. A 1963 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, he served in the National Guard, was a member and served as trustee of the Friendship Free Will Baptist Church. Retired as a pulp mill superintendent from Georgia Pacific with 45 years of service, he was an avid outdoorsman who was also a Mason and Shriner of the Perdido Lodge 752.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 28, at Pollard Cemetery in Pollard with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
Mr. Burnham is survived by his wife, Joyce Smith Burnham of Stockton; one son, Rusty (Tracey) Burnham of Brewton; one brother, Mike (Barbara Jean) Burnham; five grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; and other extended family members and friends.
Mr. Burnham was preceded in death by his wife, Lix Carden Burnham; one daughter, Christina Burnham; one brother, Jerry Burnham and two sisters, Sue Downing and Sarah Frazier.
