Lois Jean Baggett, 87, died Friday, March 27, 2020, at a Brewton nursing facility.
Mrs. Baggett was born Nov. 28, 1932, to James D. Stoker and Susie C. Stoker in Mobile, and had been a resident of Castleberry for 46 years, coming from St. Stephens, Ala. A member of Castleberry Assembly of God Church, she sang in a gospel trio, wrote songs and poetry and had many hobbies.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, at Holland Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Quick officiating. Burial followed with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Baggett is survived by her husband, John William Baggett, Sr.; two sons, John W. (Patti) Baggett, Jr. of Lakeland, Fla. and Daniel C. (Betty) Baggett of Citronelle, Ala.; two daughters, Regina G. (Mike) Albertson of Brewton and A. Juanita (Stan) Hall of Plano, Texas; one brother, James O. (Carolyn) Stoker of Georgia; three sisters, Irene (David) Parmer of Leslie, Ariz., Josephine (William) Parmer and Faye (Crayton) Johnson, both of Semmes, Ala.;six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baggett was preceded in death by an infant son, Henry Lynn Baggett; her parents; two brothers, Thomas Stoker and Reese Stoker; one sister, Genevieve Hayaski; and four grandchildren.
