Ruby Fae Rabon Dyess

Ruby Fae Rabon Dyess, 58, of Castleberry, Ala., died Sunday, March 29, 2020, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Dyess was born Feb. 5, 1962, in Castleberry, where she remained a lifelong resident. Of the Christian faith, she was a Conecuh County High School graduate and former employee of Judy Bond, Bobby's Exxon and manager of the Valli Food Mart in Castleberry.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, at Buffington Cemetery with Pastor Avery Smith officiating. Burial followed with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Dyess is survived by her husband, Albert Dyess of Castleberry; one son, Shannon (Beth) Godwin of Castleberry; one daughter, Veronica (Keith) Lanford of Castleberry; four brothers, Levi (Becky) Rabon, Joe Rabon, Earnert (Debra) Rabon and Darroll (Cindy) Rabon, all of Castleberry; two sisters, Irma (Donald) Pipkin of Evergreen and Sue Boyd of Brewton; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Dyess was preceded in death by her parents, R.J. and Rubu Hobbs Rabon; and three brothers, Wilbur Rabon, James Rabon and Lester Rabon.
