Juanita Elisa Adams Roth, 94, of Brewon, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Roth was born Feb. 1, 1926, to Daniel Fletcher and Florence Baldwin Adams in Dowling Park, Fla. and later moved to Paxton, Fla., graduating from Paxton High School in 1944. Enlisting in the United State Marine Corps, she was stationed in Washington, D.C. during World War II. Later attending Gradwahl College in St. Louis, Missouri, she met and married her husband and they moved to Brewton in 1957, when the paper mill opened. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial at Union Cemetery in Brewton and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Roth is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert Paul Roth; one son, Robert D. Roth of Brewton; four daughters, Nita (Kenny) Owens of Allentown, Fla., Helen (Randy) Reed of Pickens, S.C., Dee (Robert) Black of Birmingham and Jackie (Robbie) Smith of Brewton; one brother, Robert Adams; two sisters, Ethelyn Harby and Betty Jo Hargrove; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Roth was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Fletcher Adams.
