John David Baker, 73, of Castleberry, Ala., died Monday, April 13, 2020.
Mr. Baker was born May 10, 1946, to William Samuel and Gladys Evelyn Baker in Repton, Ala. and had been a lifelong resident of Castleberry. Of the Baptist faith, he had worked as a pole framer for W.C. Meredith Company for a number of years and was an avid fisherman.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 17, at Buffington Cemtery with Bro. Andy Peavy officiating. Burial followed with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Baker is survived by one son, David Baker of Griffin, Ga.; two daughters, Kelly (James Stutz) Baker of McLain, Miss. and Kimberly (Jimmy) Stanford of Belleville, Ala.; two brothers, Homer Baker of Brewton and Luther (Sis) Baker of Whiting, Ind.; one sister, Clara (Doug) Burch of Brewton; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by wife, Myrtis Hobbs Baker; his parents; one brother, Jerry Baker; and one sister, Mary Cain.
