Moye pronounced dead on scene
A 62-year old Brewton man was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 Sunday afternoon near Roach Road, south of Century, when a vehicle traveling north on the four-lane highway crossed the median and struck his vehicle.
James Earl Moye, 62, was killed and his wife was injured in the 5:22 p.m. crash.
According to reports released by the Florida Highway Patrol, Moye was headed south on Highway 29 when a vehicle driven by a 19-year old from Century crossed the grass median and struck Moye's vehicle on the left side.
Moye's wife was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with non-life threatening injuries. The 19-year old suffered minor injuries.
As of press time Wednesday the Florida Highway Patrol had not released the names of any of the people involved in the crash.
Visitation for Moye is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Traveler's Rest Cemetery.
