Glynith “G.G.” Byrd, 58, died Saturday, June 27, 2020, in Birmingham.
Mrs. Byrd was a native of Stanton, Texas and former resident of Kingwood, Texas who had resided in Atmore for the past 13 years. A member of the First Pentecostal Church of McCullough, she was an employee of Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union and loved the outdoors.
The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 2, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Alton Lister and Bro. Breceda officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Byrd is survived by her husband, Ronald Byrd of Atmore; two sons, Sean (Meredith) Searls of Houston, Texas and Kevin (Phoebe) Searls of Poquoson, Va.; her mother, Peggy Latty of Flomaton; two grandchildren; 13 great nephews and nieces; and numerous other family members.
Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her father, Joe Latty; and one sister, Joni Harris.
