Luke 9: 57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. 58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. 59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. 62 And
Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Luke is the only place you see this worded this way, this sounds hard and sometimes we need to hear some hard firm words and who better than from the one that paid the ultimate price for your life. Word says fit for heaven or suitable or usable. One who puts the world priority over the work of the Lord.
God desires to know that He is your priority. That you choose His work and it comes first in your life. That doesn’t mean that your family is just forgotten about that your friends are forgotten about. You incorporate your family in the work. Men, God desires you to lead your family in the work for the Lord.
Yes the work that God places on a family may be in different area but it’s the helping each other in the work of the Lord and allowing it to become the priority of your home. SERVENT heart, Doesn’t mean that you only do in the church and no sports, fishing, shopping but just let Jesus rein as the “number one” AMEN!
Everything has to have balance and I understand that, But just pray that we keep the work the Lord has you called to do in the top section of that balance. This is where we see the future leaders come from. This is where your kids will see where priority is in your home but you have to make it fun.
So how can the Lord use me to help get you in more of that mindset of the ministry? The only way is to go back to the beginning! We must go back to the Garden of Eden! Go read Genesis chapter 2 verse 7-10 There was not choir in Eden, There was no pews in Eden, There was no Church building in Eden, There was no one holding bible studies in Eden, There was not music instruments and praise songs in Eden. There was one thing a Relationship with God! There was a wall placed in that Relationship by sin entering in.
Then God said I will have to become a living sacrifice to reconnect this relationship and He sent his only begotten Son to be that healer to the sin that interrupted the Relationship. Now through faith and believe in Jesus we have that uninterrupted Relationship if we want it. So with that much Love give to you and I from our Heavenly Father It should give us the desire to work without wavier for the Lord. But you got to feel this love and let this love in. And with the work for the Lord we gain a sense of ownership to heaven and the mission. We long to be in heaven with the Lord and we work for the Lord while we are here on earth to show others the Love and draw them into a commitment to the kingdom. When men loss focuses on the Lord and Heaven they drift. Eve Lost focus on God in the garden but satin in her ear telling her lies. Rebellion to Lord and the mission caused sin and sin caused death until Jesus made a ultimate sacrifice to give us a way to reconnect.
We see Satan working so hard to make us lose focus of the Lord, Then we see people turning to buddha because they can see his statue or to scientology cause they can pay their way to heaven, so they think. We must not lose focus. You say I would never turn to a different religion yet we push our plow with one hand while we play in the world with the other hand and we feel as if we are still focused. But look behind you at the crocked rows you are plowing. We see it by the loss of generations to the devil and his work. We must keep ourselves to the work of the Lord and pray against the distractions of the devil.
Live your life to the fullest, God wants you to do this and have a great time but don’t forget to take God along and don’t forget He comes first…AMEN! Love you readers and peace out in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost with Fire!
