Flomaton pharmacy to give shots APRIL 24
(EDITOR'S NOTE: The printed edition of the Tri-City Ledger has an incorrect date for availability of the COVID-19 vaccine; the free vaccination clinic at Flomaton Medical Center Pharmacy will be held Saturday, April 24. Call 251-296-0001.)
Flomaton Medical Center Pharmacy will be holding a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, May 24, at the pharmacy, located on Highway 113 in Flomaton.
Owner Danny Cottrell said there will be 120 Moderna shots available free of charge. The clinic will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m. as long as people are wanting the vaccine.
Cottrell did say people wanting the vaccine need to call the pharmacy at 251-296-0001 to make an appointment. People will be asked to show their driver's license and insurance card, but Cottrell said there is absolutely no cost involved.
He also said people will have to fill out an information sheet before getting the vaccine and those sheets can be picked up in advance at the pharmacy and filled out before arriving on May 24. Information sheets will be available on the day of the clinic.
Cottrell added that staff from Cottrell's Home Town Pharmacy in East Brewton will be on hand to help with the administering of the shots and that people can sign up for the second shot that will be given 25 days. The second shots will also be available at the Flomaton pharmacy.
