Flomaton chief praises efforts of officers

Flomaton Police Chief Chance Thompson announced the arrest of several burglary and theft suspects and noted warrants have been issued for the arrest of others.

"I'm very pleased by the efforts of all my law enforcement officers, who worked very hard with these recent cases," Thompson said. "I am also grateful to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office in Florida for their assistance due to most of the subjects being located in Florida and traveling to our town for the crime."

Thompson also said he was pleased to see the victims of these cases begin to see justice served most of all.

"Flomaton is no place for crime and I will continue to see that every resource I have at my disposal is used to combat it," Thompson added.

The arrests and warrants include:

Tristan Qualls - Tristan Qualls has been charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Criminal Trespassing in the Third Degree, and two counts of Theft of Property Fourth Degree. Qualls is accused of stealing fishing gear from and burglary of a Local Bait Shop, stealing a Ladder from a Residence and Trespassing thereof and stealing a sandwich from the Circle K Gas Station. Qualls admitted to Law Enforcement to some of his crimes. Qualls has not been arrested at the time of this release.

Kara Turner – Kara Turner has been charged with 1 Count of Burglary Third, Two counts of Theft of Property Fourth, and Theft of Property Second. Turner is accused of stealing a firearm, and the burglary of a residence with theft therein. Turner has confessed to her crimes. Turner is in custody.

Christina Metcalf – Christina Metcalf has been charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and 2 counts of Theft of Property in the Fourth Degree. Metcalf is accused of burglary of a residence and also theft therein. Metcalf is not in custody at the time of this release.

Cameron Biggs – Cameron Biggs has been charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and 2 counts of Theft of Property in the Fourth Degree. Biggs is accused of burglary of a residence and also theft therein. Biggs is not in custody at the time of this release.

Lynsey Nix - Lynsey Nix has been charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and 2 counts of Theft of Property in the Fourth Degree. Nix is being accused of burglary of a residence and also thefts therein, she was observed on a hidden camera and confessed to her crimes. Nix is not in custody at the time of this release.

Brandon Mathis- Brandon Mathis has been charged with burglary in the Third Degree and two counts of Theft of Property in the Fourth Degree. Mathis is being accused of burglary of a residence and also thefts therein, he was observed once on a hidden camera and confessed to his crimes. Mathis is not in custody at the time of this release.

Thompson said people should not make contact with the wanted persons, but should contact their nearest law enforcement agency.
